Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are perhaps the most well-known duo of teammates in NBA history, winning six championships together and just generally being dominant. Apparently MJ liked to have a little fun off the court with his buddy too.
Michael Jordan used to take money from Scottie Pippen by betting him on pre-recorded races

According to a story told by Amin Elhassan, the NBA legend once swindled Scottie out of, like, a decent amount of money over the course of a season by betting him $100 per night on the jumbotron races. The races were pre-recorded, and Jordan found that out one day when he got to the arena super early and saw the staff watching it.
Armed with the knowledge of who would emerge victorious, Michael bet Scottie $100 when he saw the race come up on the screen, and obviously he won. He would continue to do this for the rest of the season, and PIPPEN NEVER FIGURED IT OUT.
Honestly, no one comes out of this story looking great. The fact that MJ, until accidentally finding out otherwise, thought the races on screen weren’t pre-recorded is, uh, not great. The fact that Scottie clearly never had that thought either even as it was costing him $100 every couple days is, well, much worse. Regardless, Michael Jordan continues to hold onto his crown of “Worst Teammate” for another day.
You can listen to Amin tell the whole story here.
UPDATE: Some people who would know are questioning the validity of the story. Hopefully Amin can clear things up at some point.
@ohholybutt @AndrewBucholtz Amin relayed an apocryphal story. The baggage claim story is true, this one is not.
