The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the annual video game industry event, has always had celebrities roll through to check out upcoming games. This year, for example, Jamie Foxx, Zac Efron and Snoop Dogg stopped by a Battlefield 1 event on Sunday, for which they were possibly high. Weed jokes aside, Thursday saw Bill Walton roaming the LA Convention Center, thanks to ESPN’s Arash Markazi, who gave him a shirt befitting Walton. (By that, I mean, he could wear it at a Grateful Dead concert and no one would tell the difference.)
Bill Walton went to E3 and challenged people in ‘Street Fighter’

Walton will apparently be part of the network’s esports coverage team, and with that out of the way, Walton took to challenging some fools at Street Fighter V:

Markazi himself lost to Walton:

Here’s Walton playing against Screwattack’s Stuttering Craig. It remains to be seen if Walton won, but let’s just pretend he did for the sake of our fantasies:

This is only stoking a fantasy in which Bill Walton and Lupe Fiasco challenge each other at Street Fighter, but to be fair, the world is weird enough that it could actually happen.
Of course, the NBA 2K crew had a booth on the show floor, and Walton did some rebounding while fans shot some free throws:

And honestly, even though we know Walton better as a fun-loving, Grateful Dead-concert going, basketball legend, he could totally fit in with the video game crowd.
