LeBron James, Craig Sager cap Game 6 with wonderful postgame interview
You have to hand it to LeBron James. Even during the biggest moments of his life, he’s still able to appreciate where he is and where others have been. This happened during the Eastern Conference Finals when he got emotional after talking to Doris Burke. He could have soaked in the exuberant feeling of reaching yet another Finals, but he got teary eyed as he talked about his teammates.
On Thursday, he and his Cavaliers forced the NBA Finals to head to a Game 7, and although he could have hyped up Game 7 and talked about what went down on the court, he took the time to congratulate announcer Craig Sager after finally covering an NBA Finals after 30 years. Even during times when he should celebrate, he knows that there are bigger priorities than basketball. For just a few minutes, this wasn’t even for his teammates. It was for Craig Sager.
