Jim Harbaugh is still pandering to recruits with hometown jerseys

At this point, Jim Harbaugh is making jersey purchases into an art form. Wherever he goes, he’s sporting the jersey of a local sports hero. When he showed up in Georgia, Harbaugh took his totally-not-new Hank Aaron jersey. He wore a Cal Ripken jersey when he was in Baltimore, too. He’s hoping that these very subtle wardrobe choices get him an additional recruit or two.

But now he’s gotten self-aware based on his latest tweet in Inglewood, Calif. Although we were previously free to speculate whether this was all just a funny coincidence, Harbaugh let us know directly that this is all an excellent political move. Look at him rock that Kobe shirsey. He’s obviously been a huge fan, at least that’s what he’s probably telling recruits in Los Angeles.
