Forget Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book. Forget Future and DJ Esco’s Project E.T. 2016’s hottest mixtape is actually Auctioneer Beats, an ongoing series of Vines where generic auction videos get remixed into dope hip-hop tracks, and pretty much everyone sounds like Busta Rhymes.
Auctioneers remixed with hip-hop beats is 2016’s hottest mixtape

The concept is not new, as we should give credit to David Kamp for starting this off back in 2014:
But Auctioneer Beats took the concept, gave it adrenaline, hooked it up to car subwoofers and set off car alarms with their joints. Obviously, these were made as a joke, because the realms of hip-hop and auctioneering would likely never collide in real life. But it’s a joke that works, because it’s weird and delightful that these two things fit together so perfectly. This is a step behind auctioneers getting in the studio and actually making a song, and several steps behind them actually getting on stage and performing at a music festival, and several more steps behind them maybe winning a Grammy award. Maybe?
Maybe that’s going too far. Let’s just stick with these Vines.
