The Orioles’ Jonathan Schoop struck the Royals’ Cheslor Cuthbert with a ball while he was sliding

The Royals scored only one run during their game against the Orioles on Monday, and unfortunately, it was at the expense of Cheslor Cuthbert's arm.
After Jarrod Dyson's hit made its way into Manny Machado's hand, Machado threw it to Jonathan Schoop to get Cuthbert out. Schoop then tried to get Dyson out at first, but, after realizing he wouldn't get the throw out on time, he tried to hold it back and accidentally threw it at the arm of an already sliding Cuthbert. The ball stayed active and bounced high enough for Paulo Orlando to make his way to home plate while Cuthbert laid down in pain.
According to MLB.com, Cuthbert suffered a contusion on his elbow, and while it was painful, Cuthbert seems to be doing okay:
“I think if I can throw [Tuesday], I can play,” Cuthbert said. “It’s not bad.”
