The Cubs’ 39-year-old catcher shows you how to vote for the All-Star Game using a rotary phone

Give Grandpa Rossy credit. He’s trying to #VoteCubs.

Rotary telephones. Remember those? 39-year-old catcher David Ross surely does, which is probably why the Cubs used him for an ‘80s-themed All-Star Game campaign video. Ross teaches Cubs fans how to vote for their favorite players using the hashtag #VOTECUBS, except he does it with a rotary telephone, which leads into a really drawn-out demonstration of Ross typing in that hashtag into said telephone. (Remember when the hashtag symbol used to be called the pound sign?)
We have to give props to the Cubs for going all in on the joke, from the anachronism to the eventual punchline where Ross gets an operator message after typing in the hashtag.
