The Portland Timbers’ Freddy Krueger tifo will haunt your dreams

Portland Timbers fans love their tifos. They have been known to go all out with Mars Attacks tifos. At the same time, they can take something that is generally considered light fun and deliver a heartfelt message, like they did during Pride Day by hanging a banner that read "Love is a human experience."

This time, the Timbers used their tifo to instill fear in their rival team, the Seattle Sounders. What’s scarier than a giant version of Freddy Krueger? Behind the giant A Nightmare on Elm Street villain stood even larger banners that read “Legends never die.”

And if the final score is any indication, it worked. The Timbers won 3-1 and the Sounders probably won’t be able to sleep well for a good while.
