MLB players wore custom Ken Griffey Jr. cleats to celebrate the new Hall of Famer

No better way to honor one of the most transcendent players of all time.

Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday. For many, Griffey defined a generation, and on Sunday players paid tribute to The Kid by wearing custom Nike cleats.

Ken Griffey Jr. was in his third season the year Mike Trout was born, but the impact he had on the Angels outfielder was absolutely enormous.

And Trout isn’t wrong. That swing is as beautiful as it gets.
