On Saturday, Monica Puig made history, winning Puerto Rico’s first gold medal EVER.
Monica Puig’s reaction to winning Puerto Rico’s first Olympic gold medal is just the best

Puig entered the tournament unseeded, but took down Angelique Kerber of Germany in three sets in the women’s singles finals in Rio.
After winning, she threw her racquet ...
... and dropped to her knees.
Her post-match interview was all about her home, too.
Then they hoisted the Puerto Rican flag and played the Puerto Rican national anthem for the first time ever at the Olympics.
making history is pretty great. #MonicaPuig pic.twitter.com/foQPcBCPF4

Monica Puig keeps looking down at her medal to see if it's real. Bronze would have been a career highlight, but this one is gold. #Rio2016
