Football is officially back in Los Angeles with Rams’ first preseason game

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams have a new city. They don’t necessarily have a new stadium yet — they’re currently playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum — but fans in Los Angeles are excited nonetheless.

They’re preseason commemorative T-shirt excited:

In fact, almost 90,000 tickets were sold according to the Rams. That is the most of any preseason game, so there are some die-hard Rams fans in southern California. After all, this isn’t the first time that the Rams have called Los Angeles their home. These WCW nWo-inspired flags can vaguely give you an indication of when the Rams were last there.

Arguably, parking lots are more excited than the Rams themselves. Finding inexpensive parking in Los Angeles, especially during games, is downright impossible. But even this is ridiculous. We would suggest that everyone take a taxi instead. No matter where you are, the fare will probably be cheaper than a hundred dollars.

But that’s an unfortunate consequence of the Los Angeles experience. There are some great signs that the Rams will fit in just fine in the City of Angels. The Red Hot Chili Peppers welcomed the team. Who knows if this is the start of Hollywood celebrities attending games to be seen like during Laker games.

Still, fans are ready to embrace the team’s past and look forward to their future.

And even though the Rams have found a new home in Los Angeles and are looking to wash away the reputation that they’ve had in St. Louis, some things will still remain the same:
