Shirtless, oiled-up Tongan flag bearer is the first true winner of the Rio Olympics

Late during the Olympic parade, the world was captivated not by an Olympic athlete ready for the games to begin but with a flag bearer. Pita Nikolas Taufatofua, the Tongan flag bearer, was confident in his body language but still surprisingly coy once he set his eyes on the camera.

Yes, the excessive oils are what initially caught our attention but it was his personality that made us fall in love with him, even if it was for a brief second.

He looks like a young Ultimate Warrior ready to win the hearts and minds on the international stage. It’s no surprise that he has done some modeling in the past, but did you know that he is also a youth counselor? Oh yeah, and he’s competing in taekwondo.

Look at my dude trying to get that Johnson & Johnson sponsorship. The world applauds you for your effort. We hope you enjoy the Olympic festivities.
