Giancarlo Stanton hit a 504-foot line drive home run, which we didn’t know was possible

We already know that Marlins right fielder Giancarlo Stanton can absolutely crush a baseball. Fans in San Diego could just admire his record-breaking 61 homers during the 2016 Home Run Derby. But that’s quantity. Most professional ball players can probably swing as many given the time and opportunity, right?

No. And even when you consider quality, Giancarlo has them beat. On Saturday, Stanton hit one out of the park against the Colorado Rockies which travelled a whopping 504 feet. Say it with me. FIVE. HUNDRED. FOUR. FEET.

The scariest part is that the ball could have gone even further. We wouldn’t be shocked is he tops this soon. After all, he did hit a 497-footer at the derby.
