Katie Ledecky thanked Bryce Harper for holding her medals by sending him a swim cap
Harper got the Ledecky bump!
On Saturday, the Washington Nationals clinched the NL East. Everyone celebrated after defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates — Bryce Harper, Dusty Baker, and ... Katie Ledecky? Well, sort of. Aside from donning a pair of goggles to shield away any of that celebratory champagne, Harper wore a swimming cap that read “Ledecky.”
It did belong to Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky. According to Ledecky, after the two met in person when she threw out the first pitch at Nationals Park, she sent the cap to Harper as a thank you. Glad he put it to good use.
Maybe he’ll wear it in October as well.
