Rafael Nadal paused his match so a mother could find her lost child
On Wednesday, during Rafael Nadal’s doubles exhibition match with Mats Wilander, John McEnroe, and Carlos Moya, there was a scary moment when a visibly upset mother had lost her child in the crowd. In the video above, you can see Nadal getting ready to serve, but pausing when he hears commotion in the crowd. None of the players resumed play until, thankfully, the mother and child were reunited with the help of everyone around them. John McEnroe even had tears in his eyes during this moment, and who wouldn’t? It’s scary and heartbreaking to see something like this, and we’re glad the child is safe.
