The Hawks no longer play at home on Martin Luther King Day, so they had to carry out their tradition a day early.
Hawks took their fans to church with MLK weekend choir introductions
Happens every year, but we aren’t tired of it.

Like, these choir intros have to be one of the best things a team does on MLK Day — as they should be, since the civil rights leader was born and raised in Atlanta.
Not to mention, just look how happy these people are to be singing about the Hawks!
The choir even gave a little extra flair for “Atlanta’s own ... DWIGHT! HOWARD! (Dwiiiight How-w-w-a-rrrrrrr-d!)”
Last year, there was a whole 3D show before the game, too, á la Olympics opening ceremonies.
Seriously, s/o to Atlanta for doing it big and doing it well.
