James Harden gives 100-year-old fan the game ball on her birthday

Best assist of the year!

James Harden is having a fantastic year on the court. He already has four 40-point triple-doubles, and it’s only January. He’s also averaging a career-high 11.7 assists, which is four more assists than he has ever averaged in a season. But his best assist of all? It was this one to a 100-year-old Rockets fan on her birthday.

Harden told Doris Burke about meeting the fan in his post game interview:

“Well today’s her 100th birthday, so it’s a blessing. You know she’s excited, she’s sitting on the court. She kept smiling over there, I had to go give her the game ball and tell her how blessed she is and I am for meeting her.”

What a nice moment for Harden and this fan.
