Ottawa hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets in a high-scoring affair, as the two sides entered the final 10 minutes of the game tied at 5-5. So, no, it wasn’t a good day for goalies to begin with.
But it got worst for Senators netminder Mike Condon. The Blue Jackets won a faceoff and then a knuckleball fooled the one guy who needed to focus the most.
Yeesh. The obvious question is: did it get tipped?
Sure enough, it did. But that doesn’t excuse Condon. Look at the hang time this thing gets!
That’s Atkinson’s 22nd goal of the year and the worst goal allowed by Condon, ever.
