Jay Z wore the No.7 “Colin K” jersey while performing his new song “Bam,” alongside Damian Marley. There was no reference to Kaepernick during the performance or following it, though Jay Z turned his back to the audience at the end of the song and let the camera linger on his jersey.
Jay Z has supported Kaepernick in recent months. At a recent concert in New York he dedicated the song, “The Story of O.J.”, to Kaepernick, saying:
“I want to dedicate this song to anyone that was held back and you overcame.”
