It’s always nice to have a friend visit you in the hospital, for Odell Beckham Jr. his friend was just a little more famous than most hospital visitors.

Drake visiting OBJ might seem random, but the two are exceedingly close. The pair lived together last year and became closer during a time Beckham Jr. told GQ that he needed to “shrink his circle” to reach his goals. Drake assisted with that, serving almost like a life coach to OBJ, as well as giving him a place to stay at a time Beckham Jr. was in the third year or his rookie contract, and not making close to what he deserved.
So while this might seem like another “Drake gets his photo taken with athletes” thing, there’s a lot more depth than you might think.
Beckham Jr. fractured his ankle on Sunday against the Chargers and will miss the remainder of the 2017 season.
