“The Jaguars’ defense forces the Pittsburgh Steelers into four turnovers. As a result, Blake Bortles will outplay Ben Roethlisberger, who usually does well at home.”
Checking in on the game now and .... oh my god.
Five interceptions is awfully close to four turnovers, and while Bortles played horribly, he did technically play better than Roethlisberger when it comes to passer rating — so this all checks out.
Steelers fans were making fun of Jones-Drew for his prediction earlier in the week, but he’s laughing last. It’s not the first time this has happened either. Before Week 1 Patriots fans mercilessly mocked MJD for saying the Chiefs would win and giving Andy Reid the edge in “coaching” over Bill Belichick.
The Chiefs went on to win 42-27 and Jones-Drew posted this.
Two weeks ago, he got laughed at for saying Marcedes Lewis would be the reason the Jaguars beat the Ravens. The tight end entered the game with zero catches in the first two games of the season, but caught three touchdowns in London.
Let this be a lesson to the next fanbase who laughs at a Jones-Drew prediction: He will probably have the last laugh.
