Chance The Rapper was an absolute delight hosting Saturday Night Live, and one of the best sketches was him playing “Lazlo Holmes,” a Knicks courtside reporter reassigned to cover the Rangers.
Chance The Rapper stole the show on SNL by being a clueless hockey reporter
This is one of the best sports sketches ever on ‘Saturday Night Live.’

This is one of the best sports sketches SNL has done in a very, very long time. Instead of leaning on cast members to impersonate athletes, they just took a fish-out-of-water situation and let Chance do his thing, and he killed it.
It would have been so easy for this to fall flat but Chance nailed the timing throughout this. From doing his best to fake his way through the broadcast, to calling the Oilers “the Oileys,” it was just brilliant.
Asked to interview Brady Skjei, poor Laz just couldn’t handle pronouncing his name.
The whole sketch is joyous. Chance The Rapper is the best.
