The “Arthur’s fist” meme isn’t new, but LeBron James using it got us all talking about Arthur more than normal. Now this has reached it’s logical conclusion with the show trying to float the idea of James guest starring.
‘Arthur’ is still going strong, and the show wants LeBron James to guest star
Wait ... Arthur is still going?!

Your first reaction is probably a lot like ours: “WAIT ... ARTHUR IS STILL ON?!” It sure is, and it just entered its 21st season. Senior executive producer Carol Greenwald told For The Win about how the show wants to bring James on board.
“LeBron is active in the Cleveland community, he has a foundation and has worked a lot with youth,” Greenwald said. “I admire that about him. He’s a great role model for kids, articulate and smart. It’s so great he’s using Arthur.”
It’s unclear who James would play in the show, but recently Arthur has moved towards having more and more guest stars. Since we’re totally amazed this show is still going here are some fun Arthur facts to catch you up:
- There have been seven different voices for Arthur since the show began in 1996. However, Bruce Dinsmore has been voicing Binky Barnes for the last 21 years.
- Philip Seymour Hoffman guest starred in 2009 as William Filmore Toffman.
Matt Damon played himself, with horrifying results
Arthur started becoming a real dick to Buster. From the blurb of the 2013 episode, All Thumbs:
“When Arthur catches Buster sucking his thumb, Buster worries that Arthur will tell the entire school. Can Arthur stay mum? Or is this secret just too juicy not to share?”
In any event, it’s nice to know Arthur is still going. Except that Matt Damon. It needs to die in a fire.
