J.J. Redick kept making like all of the shots in last night’s 121-110 Sixers win over the Pacers. He finished with 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting, and made 8-of-12 from deep. That’s extremely, extremely good!
J.J. Redick made the most ridiculous 3-pointer against the Pacers
HOW?

But no shot he made was more “OH MY GOD,” or more “HOLY BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP” than this one, which really sealed what was a close game for Philly.
Obviously I, along with all of the Sixers fans, screamed as that shot dropped. But when I watched it again ... I actually screamed one more time. But when I finished screaming, I looked at how truly difficult that shot was.
This was a broken play.
Ben Simmons slipped, and Redick had to get creative with the shot clock winding down. A pump-fake only made so much room away from Darren Collison with the outstretched arms of Myles Turner looming. Momentum carried Redick towards that right corner with no time left to change direction. He was INCREDIBLY off balance, with a very large person in his face. This had no business going in.
Obviously, Redick is one of the best shooters ever, but it’s still amazing how well he was able to compensate on the release of his shot given how far he was fading.
Folks, the Sixers are good.
