Mizzou’s coach gave an inspiring locker room speech to a team that had just nearly beaten him

This is what sports are all about.

Missouri head coach Cuonzo Martin did something on Tuesday night that he’s never done in his 18-year coaching career — visited the opposing team in their locker room.

Stephen F. Austin suffered a heartbreaking 82-81 loss to Missouri when their comeback fell short. Knowing how rough the loss was, Martin wanted to speak to the team, compliment them on how talented they were, and tell them to keep their chin up.

Truly one of the best moments of the season from a coach who understands adversity after losing Michael Porter Jr. for the year. We should see both these teams in March, and it’ll be deserved.
