Nike released its “City Edition” jerseys for the 2017-18 NBA season and a lot of them are absolutely incredible. They invoke the feeling of the place they represent, and offer a bold new approach to the team. Some of the jerseys, well — they’re not great. Sorry in advance to Rockets, Heat, Raptors and Knicks fans — Nike has said these jerseys will be released at a future date.
The good, the bad and the ugly of Nike’s new NBA City jerseys
Some of these are great. Others ... not so much.

God tier
Sixers
There can only be one, and the Sixers’ jersey is absolutely incredible. It’s clean, classic, and looks like parchment. It’s perfection.
Fire tier
Bulls
Sure, it looks a little bit too much like the Clippers’ colorway, but this is still very slick. Good uniform.
Cavaliers
Hornets
The “B” and “Y” have little stingers on them and the side design is hornet wings. Would wear.
Warriors
Lakers
It’s easy to overlook this one — until you zoom in. They made it snakeskin design to honor Kobe Bryant it’s worthy of a high tier.
Pelicans
Pistons
Wolves
These are simple, sure — but they didn’t need to be fancy.
Blazers
Kings
Jazz
Not everyone can pull this off, but the sunset motif screams Utah more than their normal jerseys do.
Fine tier
Wizards
It’s nice, just a little too wordy.
Clippers
Suns
Thunder
Love the cloud imagery. Dig the stripes. Don’t like the font.
Bucks
Grizzlies
Nuggets
Hawks
Mavericks
These are really close to trash tier. They still might be trash tier. Not sure. I don’t like them, but I don’t have a violent reaction to them either.
Pacers
Trash tier
Spurs
Remember the Alamo. Forget these.
Magic
The proud Orlando tradition of being in space.
Nets
Kristian Winfield is making a strong argument for these to be pushed up because the jersey resembles the Brooklyn Bridge, and while that’s cool — it just looks too much like the Nets normal jersey. Not feeling it.
Celtics
The parquet is neat. That’s it. Outside of that this jersey is the equivalent of sweatpants.
