Intense NHL ref is back to shout a fighting penalty to the crowd

Andrew Shaw and Torey Krug got into a fight during Sunday’s Bruins-Canadiens game, and both got penalized for it, but the best part of that fight was right after it. Referee Wes McCauley announced the call to the crowd, and he did it with such emphasis, like he was an announcer for Mortal Kombat.

And if McCauley doing his intense referee calls sounds familiar, it’s because he was a highlight last March, when he shouted “WE GOT A GOAL!” after a review.

This and that referee that screamed “fuck you” while his mic was still hot might be proof that the NHL secretly has the best referees in all of sports.
