Monday night’s Jeopardy! had everyone’s favorite version of Alex Trebek — rapping Alex Trebek.

The category was, “Let’s rap, kids!” and it could not be more reminiscent of Steve Buscemi in 30 Rock.
Trebek sounds like when you were in middle school and typing Sir Mix-A-lot lyrics into Microsoft Windows text-to-voice to hear Microsoft Sam say “I like big butts and I cannot lie” in his mechanical voice.
However, this episode was a vast improvement over last fall’s “Jumpman” debacle.
He missed the exact count on the “jumpmans,” but this year he made up for it by saying “Panda” precisely seven times.
Trebek regaled the audience with stilted renditions of “Started from the Bottom,” “m.A.A.D. city,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Panda,” and “Famous.”
My personal favorite is “6 Foot 7 Foot,” as Trebek’s perfect pronunciation utterly decimates Lil Wayne’s famous slant rhymes. I can’t stop playing it.
