Athletes standing next to giant basketball players is a singular photographic joy. Ahead of the Super Bowl, Shaquille O’Neal and Simone Biles had a photo op that might be the best one yet. It’s so preposterous that it looks like an optical illusion -- even when Biles is standing slightly behind Shaq so she looks taller.
In fact, it takes almost two 4’9 Simone Biles to equal one Shaq. We did the math.
Since we have an athlete standing next to a tall athlete, it’s an excuse to enjoy Jon Daly standing next to Yao Ming again.
