Losers of three straight and seven points out of the Western Conference playoff race, the Stars were gifted with three Ottawa Senators penalties in the first period. They let the Senators score on one of them. And the third was just amazing.
Dallas pulled their goalie for the extra attacker, and then Jiri Hudler had a terrible idea: drop-pass the puck with an empty net behind him.
The results were disastrous.
Stick a fork in the Stars. That’s the worst play in the NHL this season.
