Nuggets give cruel reminder to Celtics fans about Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals

This had to sting.

@SeanGrandePBP

The good folks running the video board at the Pepsi Center delivered a crushing blow to Celtics fans during a timeout in the third quarter of their game against the Nuggets.

With the Nuggets up 11, they stuck their fingers into the wounds of Celtics faithful in the building. They posted “alternative facts” including one that delivered the following burn from the Celtics’ Game 7 loss to the Lakers in the 2010 NBA Finals:

Perkins, who was a key piece of the Celtics frontcourt that season, injured his right knee halfway through the first quarter of Game 6.

He missed all of Game 7, and the Lakers won a tight contest 83-79. Many Celtics fans believe that was the difference maker in the game, and cost them an 18th championship.

It was an ugly reminder for Boston fans everywhere.
