The official release of Madden 18 might be months away, but the world got a special (fake) look at the game from Japanese visionary Fumito Ueda and it’s very, very different.
Roger Goodell is an evil wizard in this ‘Madden 2018’ parody trailer

Ueda, known for cult classics Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian is one of the best-known figures in the video game world. Fans hang on the announcement of every game, even when they can take up to 11 years to come out. On Thursday he teamed up with Mega64 to reveal his next game — a wholly bizarre take on Madden NFL.
The premise is perfectly in line with his typical tone: A group of entities that steal souls and flooding in from the east. They’re called the “Steelers.” The goddess of nature has been imprisoned, forced to cheer for the Steelers while they keep her hostage. A chosen quarterback must save her, and get revenge on the Steelers for what they have done.
Sometimes you need to dump Gatorade on the coach to close a portal, others you need to scale a giant Rob Gronkowski to reach the summit.
Conquering him will allow you to try and reverse the “DeflateGate hex” and save the goddess. An evil wizard is trying to stop you from achieving your goal.
This is one of the weirdest videos we’ve seen in a while, and yet it’s wonderful.
