Surfers in Australia decided to turn raging floodwaters into their own personal beach by river surfing on Wednesday.
This is how Australian surfers are dealing with flood waters caused by Cyclone Debbie

The video, shot in the town of Murwillumbah is underwater after Cyclone Debbie wrecked havoc on Northeastern Australia. The state of Queensland was hit by the Category Four storm, bringing winds of 163 miles per hour and leaving tens of thousands of people without power.
The deluge of rain from the storm made its way south, hitting Murwillumbah and leading to these raging waters. Let’s be super clear: Surfing on raging floodwaters in a river is just about one of the most dangerous things you can do, but it’s still pretty great.
The highlight of the video comes about 28 seconds in when a jet ski joins the party to catapult another surfer into the oncoming water.
Absolutely do not try this at home.
