Wrestling match turns into ‘Mortal Kombat’ for a few glorious seconds
MOOOORTAAAAL KOOOOMBAAAAAT

It’s WrestleMania weekend, which is big for WWE, but also means smaller, independent promotions get an opportunity to do counter-programming. Such was the case for Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), which held “Joey Janela’s Spring Break” on Thursday night.
One of the matches that took place was a 13-man elimination match — otherwise know by the event as a “Clusterf**k.” During the match, wrestler Ethan Page took on his opponent Glacier using a brilliantly ridiculous tactic: the “Techno Syndrome” song from Mortal Kombat. He didn’t just have the song playing — he had lights synced with the music, and Page moved around as if he were animated in the early Mortal Kombat games. Glacier was getting ready to fight Page, but then he got distracted by another opponent, which led to Page taking advantage and rolling him up for a pin.
Still, for a moment, Mortal Kombat almost became real life, and for that, we thank you, Ethan Page.
