Allen Iverson says his crossover on Michael Jordan was better than stepping over Tyronn Lue

We’re loving Allen Iverson recounting the time he put down a crossover on Michael Jordan.

In fact, he said it was even better than when he stepped over Tyronn Lue. While that is not for us to decide, we still appreciate this retelling of the events.

This was back in 1997, and the month before Iverson would go on to win Rookie of the Year. This was likely still in everyone’s minds.

The best part isn’t the crossover itself, though, but what happened after.

AI ran into Jordan at a Hornets game and told him he loved and admired him, and that he was his hero, to which His Airness replied:

“I couldn’t have been too much of a hero to you if you crossed me like that.”

There are some plays you never forget, even if you’re on the losing end.
