Canadiens player gets stick stuck in opponent’s visor, awkward wriggling ensues

The NHL requires players to wear visors now, which is smart. You should protect your eyeballs.

But there’s a nice little space in between visors and the actual helmet. And sometimes it gets speared like a fish in the Bronze Age.

Just ask Calgary Flames rookie Matthew Tkachuk, who was just minding his own puck battle business when Montreal Canadiens center Alex Galchenyuk made things very confusing for the rookie.

Whoops! Luckily Tkachuk wasn’t hurt even though he was thrashing around like a Magikarp dropped onto a dock. (Hey, 90’s kids.)
