Martha Stewart decided to take in a little baseball on Monday afternoon and had no idea that she would potentially jinx a perfect game. The Yankees’ Michael Pineda was on pace for a perfect game entering the seventh inning when Martha decided to let the world know what was up.
Martha Stewart jinxed the Yankees’ perfect game

The first rule of a perfect game is you don’t talk about a perfect game. Well, that’s not true at all — because everyone talks about a perfect game when it seems like a possibility it’ll happen, but regardless things collapsed almost immediately.
The double occurred not even three minutes after Stewart’s tweet. Naturally, the internet let her know immediately what she did.
The Rays, on the other hand, went a different route.
Sorry Rays, but you’re wrong. Stop trying to shame Martha. She was totally correct when she tweeted her factoid, and even if she did jinx Pineda you’re disseminating alternative facts.
I just hope Martha’s other tweets don’t wind up to be jinxes because I really need to be sure this next one will happen.
Really hoping those sweet peas will be amazing.
