The decision to raise a child supporting a particular team is a serious responsibility. You’re setting a person on a course that will carry them for a lifetime. Instead of influencing his young son to support his favorite team, one dad decided to write a letter to all 30 MLB teams and asked them to detail why his boy should root for them.
This dad wrote to every MLB team asking them to win his son’s love

Pete van Vleet is an Astros fan, but the Pirates were the first to respond and try to win over young Jack. Team president Frank Coonelly wrote a long letter detailing the team’s history and why it’s an exciting time to be a Pirates fan.
The Mets threw their hat into the ring, too, with a package of baby-centric goodies.
His beloved Astros made a big push, though. Their letter might have been brief, but president Reid Ryan included a signed photo that could be exchanged for game tickets.
So far the Astros and Mets have made convincing pitches with the offer of goods and services, but the Pirates went very personal with their letter. No decision has been made on who Jack will support — so this race is heating up.
