U16 hockey game ends in chaotic brawl between players and refs

On Wednesday, a U16 hockey match in the Czech Republic ended in a brawl among both teams and even a referee. Normally, you’d see a handshake line, but at the Easter Cup’s third-place match between Liba Academy 11 Košice (who won the match) and HC Brest, there was an uncomfortable meeting between both teams, which shortly devolved into a fight.
What may have set off the fight was this shove from a Košice player to his Brest opponent when the horn was blown:
From there, both teams convened, a Brest player tried to shake hands with his opponents, as well as a referee (although it might have been in a fit of sarcasm, because it looked like he was also jawing off at him):
His teammate, on the other hand, decided to make a move toward the same referee and throw some hands:
Then everybody started throwing hands:
While that was going on, on the other side of the rink, two other Brest players confronted a ref who broke away from the fight, and one of them fought the ref. A couple of Košice players tried to stop this particular fight:
Eventually, the brawl died down as organizers tried to calm everyone. This was definitely one of the most chaotic endings to a hockey game, complete with a Brest player having an unnecessary collision with his teammate a couple of minutes after the fight ended:
What a bizarre finish.
