Zach Werenski’s broken, bruised face is now a Blue Jackets fan’s T-shirt

Because ... playoffs?

Phil Kessel accomplished two things with one shot in Game 3: He knocked out the Columbus Blue Jackets’ best defenseman for the postseason, and he created a whole new line of T-shirt merchandise!

When Kessel’s shot rode up Zach Werenski’s stick and hit his face, it left Werenski with multiple facial fractures. And they looked NASTY. The rookie d-man tweeted a picture of it, and now it’s apparently a rallying cry for a Blue Jackets fan.

Maybe it’s the angle of the picture, but that T-shirt looks too real. Like Werenski’s face is wrapped around his torso.

Ugh. All of this is either weird or gross. Thanks, Phil. Thanks a lot.
