Stephen Curry is gracing the cover of ‘GQ’ in May for a piece titled “The Revenge of Stephen Curry, the Happy Warrior.” It explores his path to the NBA, how he dealt with the Warriors’ collapse in the finals last year, and how the team adapted after signing Kevin Durant.
Steph Curry definitely tore the crotch of a $2,000 suit during his ‘GQ’ photo shoot

Of course — being ‘GQ’ — there are some Curry-focused fashion photos and they’re amazing. They went with this late-70s-meets-Breakfast-Club vibe and it totally works for him. We need to talk about one photo specifically, though: This one of Steph wearing a $2,000 Emporio Armani suit and jumping off of a cafeteria table.
It’s one heck of a look. I don’t know anyone who is able to pull off a tank top with a suit, sneakers, and no socks — but hey, do what works for you. Also, there are four lone trays of food in the photos, all of which appear to have pudding on them. Why did the kids leave?
Steph’s face. We need to talk about his face.
This is the face of a man who is immediately fearful he just tore the crotch of his $2,000 suit while jumping off a table with a matte black basketball in an abandoned cafeteria.
Let’s see what happened.
Maybe not a full tear, but that crotch is hanging on for dear life. Stitches stretched beyond their tensile strength will allow. Plaid bending in agony while being torn asunder. Let this be a lesson to us all: Don’t play basketball in a suit.
