During the Clippers win on Tuesday night you might have come across one very different fan celebrating in the stands. Not jogging your memory? He was the dude drinking out of his damn shoe.
This Clippers fan who drank beer from a shoe on live TV was definitely Australian

It definitely seems unusual, but really it’s a pretty standard celebration — in Australia. This is called a “shoey,” and drinking alcohol from your stinky worn shoe is an excellent way to celebrate.
The celebration itself has been around for a long time, but rose to prominence in 2015. It reached its zenith a year later when Formula One driver (and Australia) Daniel Ricciardo drank champagne from his driving shoe after finishing second in the German Grand Prix.
Now, there’s a chance the tradition of the shoey could be spreading to the U.S. and this wasn’t an Australian Clippers fan at all, but it seems a little too specific. There is no other country that celebrates by drinking out of their actual footwear. Sure, Germany and Austria might drink out of glasses that look like boots, but only the Aussies will down some foot sweat with their booze.
The important question: How does it taste? Ricciardo answered that one as well.
“If the sparkling wine is cold, then it tastes good. If it’s warm then you might get the sweat through it but the cold taste kills the bad stuff... so it’s delicious.”
Now for the most important question of the day: Would you do it?
