The Colorado Avlanche’s season has been over for a month now, and they’re still finding ways to make us sad for them.
Avalanche player injures himself wrestling World Championship teammate in hotel room
That’s So Avs.™

Avs defenseman Tyson Barrie was playing well in the IIHF World Championships for Team Canada, but news came down yesterday he’d miss the rest of the tournament. And now, thanks to TSN insider Darren Dreger, we know why. And now we are sad.
“Precautionary reasons,” as in the Avalanche are just about done with this voodoo stuff and are shutting this whole thing down before something truly awful happens. Remember, this is a Colorado team that finished with 48 points in 82 games. That’s 21 points worse than the second-worst team in the NHL this year (the Vancouver Canucks).
And now they’re sending sad tweets and losing the draft lottery (they’re picking fourth!) and their players are getting hurt wrestling in hotel rooms. The Avalanche are depressing.
