The humble hoverboard. It was the holiday craze of 2015, and then the internet craze of 2016 when videos emerged of people screaming while their toys spontaneously combusted. Now a new company, backed by Mark Cuban, believes they’ve changed all that.
Mark Cuban is launching a new $1,300 hoverboard that hasn’t burst into flames yet

It’s called the “Radical MOOV,” which is a good hoverboard name or an extreme sports cow. The engineers behind the MOOV believe they’ve made dozens of improvements over the rolling fireballs to give the world something actually practical.
Currently in testing, the “Radical MOOV” hasn’t had any fire issues yet. It boasts a 12-mile range, as well as several features that propose to turn riding a hoverboard into more of a sports experience. The video claims that turning on the board is not an ankle motion, but rather a lot more similar to the body’s movements while skiing.
The board can reach speeds of 16 miles per hour, according to engineers, and will come with an app that will allow users to adjust the board’s top speed, cornering, and balance controls.
Radical MOOV is set to launch on Kickstarter soon, with no announced date at this time.
