Charity drives take on many different shapes and forms, and in wrestling sometimes that means getting slammed on a bunch of thumbtacks — even if you’re not a wrestler.
Wrestling fan asks Cody Rhodes to slam him on thumbtacks for charity

Former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes now works on the independent scene. He wanted to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital over the weekend at a WrestlePro show in New Jersey. For most fans this meant photos, or maybe some autographs — but one had a special request. This, from WrestlePro’s Facebook page:
“A man in attendance loudly interrupted “CODY! How much to slam me on the tacks!?” Cody told the crowd he’d actually do it only if all the money from the post show meet and greet went to a charity. Cody also offered to match that amount, himself and he did. After that man was body-slammed; WrestlePro and Cody Rhodes are happy to follow through on that today with a combined donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Thank you to all who attended!”
The fan did a total no-sell on the tacks, too. He didn’t make it look like they hurt at all. Uncool dude — but on the plus side there was a great donation to charity, memories that will last a lifetime and holes in a man’s back where there weren’t before.
It could have been worse. The fan could have asked to be in a hard candy and Lego death match.
