This season of Dancing with the Stars was dominated by athletes, and in the end it was former NFL running back Rashad Jennings who edged out David Ross of the World Series-winning Cubs to take home the crown.
Rashad Jennings beat David Ross to win ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Jennings had a quiet but successful season on the show where he clearly outclassed the competition. On Tuesday night, he won with a performance of Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic,” which left the crowd and judges stunned.
Ross, on the other hand, didn’t start out as a great dancer. In fact, he was pretty bad — but always had fun on the dance floor (even when his Cubs teammates were horrified). In the end, he improved a ton from the first episode to the last and did his best.
DWTS has never been about amazing dancers. It’s been about people from different walks of life trying their best, and to this end Ross epitomized the show. He got better, but he was a far cry from what Jennings brought on the season finale.
Now we have the long wait to see who the next athletes to throw their hats into the ring will be. We’ll always have this moment from Ross’ unforgettable “Magic Mike” routine:
