Carlos Martinez’s fly ball had two definite outcomes:
1. Canseco could have caught the ball, getting Martinez out and the Rangers-Indians would’ve continued as normal.
2. The ball would have fallen short, and Canseco could have missed the catch, causing him to scramble for the ball while Martinez advanced a base or two.
Instead, the baseball gods decided to gift us the one hilarious outcome no one, not even Canseco, saw coming. Happy anniversary, Dome Run.
