NYPD officer swishes 3-pointer from behind park fence, celebrates like Carmelo Anthony

When you’re on duty, but ball is life.

Never forget the one rule that permeates everywhere, every day: “Ball is life.”

On Friday, New York City officer Garthlette James was on duty in the Bronx when he stopped by a neighborhood basketball court. As a way to connect with the kids, James decided to show off how good he is at making a basket from behind the park fence. You can hear one of the kids egging him on with “You miss, you give me a dollar” and telling him it’s going to be a bank shot. The result: James swished that ball like it was nothing, and he reveled by doing Carmelo Anthony’s three-pointer celebration.
