Well, this is a conundrum.
John Scott calls P.K. Subban ‘a piece of garbage’ in ESPN documentary

No two players have captured the hearts of hockey fans more than P.K. Subban and John Scott over the last two years. Subban, because of his fun personality. And Scott because of the 2016 NHL All-Star Game voting saga that made the NHL the bad guys and Scott a semi-celebrity.
So ... how should hockey fans handle one of the two dissing the other? Scott was featured in an ESPN E:60 documentary this weekend about Subban, and he had some choice words about the Predators star.
Scott’s sentiments are nothing we haven’t heard before about Subban. As a flashy personality in a sport (perhaps archaically) known for team-first priorities, most people either love Subban’s personality or hate it. And as an old-school enforcer type, maybe Scott’s opinion is one we should’ve expected.
To his credit, Scott went on a Montreal radio show Monday to respond to the comments, and said that interview with ESPN was actually over a year old. He also said he liked Subban as a person, and that his distaste for the defenseman was purely limited to facing him on the ice.
