CPBL first baseman forgets the ball on the way to first base

Pobody’s nerfect, especially in sports — everyone knows this. Over at Taiwan’s Chinese Professional Baseball League, the Fubon Guardians’ Kuan-Wei Yang had the unfortunate honor of reminding people that humans make mistakes.

This was supposed to be an easy out, as Yang was right in front of the ball and said ball should have gone right into his glove. It did not; Yang thought it did, but it was still rolling as he ran toward first base. His teammate signaled something along the lines of “HEY THE BALL IS STILL ON THE GROUND OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD,” and well, a Chinatrust Brothers hitter got to first base, leaving everyone astounded.

This is basically the opposite of a hidden ball trick — shout out to the Carolina Mudcats this week — and while this is a funny blooper, I feel really bad, as the Guardians were already down 11-3. The game ended in a 14-3 win for the Chinatrust Brothers.
